Intellectual Property Commercialization@AU is designed to support faculty who are discovering new knowledge to secure protection of their intellectual property and commercialize their innovations. The first step to begin this process is to download and complete the IPC Disclosure Form and submit it to the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Research. The disclosure will be reviewed and evaluated for its potential for commercial investment, and a meeting will be scheduled with the faculty innovator(s) to discuss the intellectual property.

Once the intellectual property is determined to be commercially viable, patent protection will be applied for and/or commercial partnerships or licenses for the intellectual property will be investigated. Throughout the process, the information in the IPC Disclosure Form remains confidential.

Throughout the IPC process, you will work with the Vice-Provost of Graduate Studies and TreMonti Consulting, AU's intellectual property commercialization consultant.
